There are some very difficult fixtures to predict this week, so we decided to take the conservative way and made just two picks where we thought was the most value. If you have any additional picks or predictions, let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
Hebei CF vs Chongqin Lifan
Manual Pellegrini has finally taken place at Hebei and has been leading the training over the past few weeks. Hopefully for Hebei fans he will have an immediate impact on the teams performance as they only got 5 points out of their last 8 games.
Chongqin Lifan are an unpredictable side lately. With wins over high-flying Yanbian, struggling giants Beijing, but losses (3-0) against relegation favorite Changchun Yatay, and a spectacular 4-5 loss against Guangzhou R&F it is hard to predict how they will come out on friday.
The only thing that seems likely is that we will see goals, and plenty of them. Although Manuel Pellegrini today stated in his press conference that Hebei will look to become a “defensively strong offensive team” he will have his work cut out for him on Friday. Three of the back four of Hebei are suspended for the upcoming CSL fixture and add to that the fact that Hebei already conceded at least 1 goal in 77% of their home matches.
Chongqin Lifan are a side who score fairly easy this season, also in away games. They do have a hard time keeping their ranks closed in the back (most goals against in the league so far this season) so we can certainly expect to see goals on Friday.
Total goals: Over 2.5 – 1.71 Bwin
Hangzhou Greentown vs Jiangsu Suning
The home team are actually pretty strong at home, proving so by only losing once (to a top 3 team) in their last 5 home matches. Normally it could be tempting to bet on the upset (1/X) in this match, especially looking at the fact Jiangsu Suning already played a cup semi-final (1-0 win) earlier this week.
But the Suning owned team are back in the title race after a bad spell by number one Guangzhou Evergrande, so every game is an absolute must-win for them. With only 6 points behind the reigning champs Jiangsu will feel like they still have a shot at the title, as long as they keep on winning - with 4 straights wins they are on the right track.
Soms bookies are offering as much as 1.8 for a Jiangsu win, and this seems very good value to us.
Jiangsu Suning to win: 1.8 10Bet
