Super League and Premier League weekend planning

Coming weekend will be circled with a big red marker by most football fans around the world. Probably in the first place because the English Premier League is kicking off again, and we fully understand. While our screens will be filled with Chinese Super League action, somewhere in the background we just might tune in to some English football action.

But if you are anything like us you just hate to choose anyway. And that is why the Super League is so perfect. On Saturday the first Super League game starts at 08:30 GMT, and the others at 12:35. For your reference: Hull vs Leicester kicks off 12:30, and all the other games 15:00. Not like you didn’t know of course.

This means you can start your day with the Super League, skip one Premier League game, and then jump right from the Super League to Everton vs Spurs. And if football is serious business, watching football might be even more so. Just think about it: more people are watching football than people playing it. That is why we planned out a strict timetable for coming weekend. Oorah!

08:30 - Yanbian vs Shanghai SIPG

Shanghai SIPG has become more popular in the UK already after their first game on SkySports where they managed to edge out a 3-3 draw against Guangzhou RF after a thrilling match. With his hattrick Wu Lei showed why we should watch every game he’s in, as the playmaker is pure entertainment.

And while this away game on paper may seem like an easy one, make no mistake about the form Yanbian is in. Of their last 6 games they won 5 and them being the home side makes it there is no clear cut favorite here.

12:35 - Shanghai Shenhua vs Guangzhou Evergrande - SkySports 3

The big one! Guangzhou Evergrande is one of the biggest clubs in Asia, if not the world. And while it seemed a matter of time before they could be crowned champions yet again, some dust seems to have gotten into the engine of Felipe Scolari’s team. With 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss in their last 3 games they will have a hard time in their away game to Shanghai Shenhua who are in 4th place.

15:00 - Everton vs Tottenham

No need to announce this one. It will be exciting to see how Ronald Koeman does at Everton, and if the Spurs are hungry to start strong after their close call in last seasons title race.

Then on Sunday we will let you decide. At 12:35 you can get settled in for the first half of Guangzhou RF against Shandong Luneng. Eran Zahavi who has been in top form for Guangzhou will take on Felix Magath who is fighting against relegation along with his two most recent arrivals Graziano Pelle and Papiss Cisse.

Or if you prefer to never leave SkySports for the whole weekend then stay at SkySports 3. At 12:30 broadcasting will start for Hebei CF vs Liaoning Whowin. For Hebei former QPR midfielder Stephane M’bia has rapidly become one of the most popular players and former Arsenal winger Gervinho is picking up the pace.

If they have not convinced you after 45 minutes you can flip the channel to Bournemouth against Jose Mourinho and his men.

All together coming weekend will be a thrill to follow for all football fans around the world. Make sure you stock up on snacks and follow our social accounts to never miss any of the Super League action. We will provide free live-streams, match talk, and analysis. Enjoy!
