Insider information: ‘Hangzhou close to signing Malaga striker, Guangzhou make Bobadilla bid’

‘Guangzhou R&F make bid for FC Augsburg striker’

German ‘transfer market’ headlined this week that Augsburg striker Raul Bobadilla has been approached by Guangzhou R&F. Bobadilla’s agent confirmed his client is being chased by a number of clubs, including Guangzhou R&F and English side Hull City.

He adds that his client is currently happy to stay in Augsburg. Also Dirk Schuster, coach at Augsburg, had a sit down with the media and said that he is very happy with the Paraguayaan international - “he has great abilities and motivation so he is very important to the team. But as a coach I don’t have any influence on him leaving or not. The club decides who is being sold or not.”

It is reported Guangzhou’s opening bod was one of 8 million and an after-tax annual salary of three million euros. It is unknown if with the recent arrival of Eran Zahavi the Super League side are still keen on signing an additional striker.

‘Espanyol are chasing Guangzhou Evergrande star’

Spanish Premier League side Espanyol are reported to be interested in signing Guangzhou defender Zhang Linpeng. The flamboyant wingback is a returning item in many transfer related news items as he is one of the best Chinese players all around.

According to Spanish media sources the Barcelona based club are looking to strenghten their defensive ranks and Zhang Linpeng is one of the names on their list. Zhang has been having another good season at Guangzhou and is a very stable factor at the back.

Espanyol is not the first club to be linked to the Chinese international. Last year reports stated that Champions League winners Real Madrid where keeping an eye on Linpeng. It is clear the 27-year old has some admirers overseas.

‘Hangzhou Greentown close to signing experienced striker’

Charles Dias de Oliveria - alias Charles - could be the next Brazilian national to make the cross to the Super League. Various sources indicate that Hangzhou Greentown, the employer of Aussie hero Tim Cahill, are close to signing the striker.

Hangzhou are currently involved in a heavy battle against relegation. Greentown, who have the youngest average squad in the league, sit in 15th place with just 1 point clear of Shandong Luneng. With the arrival of the seasoned forward the Hangzhou side are hoping to turn their season around.

Charles has been with Malaga for just one season, after joing them from other Primera Division side Celta de Vigo last year. He enjoyed his biggest succes at Spanish side Almeria where he scored 32 times in only 44 games.
