FIFA17: four of the biggest changes you can expect

EA Sports has released information about the new FIFA17 game. The information shows the company behind the popular football-game has been focussing on some new features. We at FCInsider made you a list.

  1. Set pieces

One of the four things EA Sports made a lot of changes to, are the set pieces. Where for not too long ago scoring from free kicks, corners, or penalties was mostly about luck, with the new game you will need to develop some more skill. One of the examples would be that in FIFA17 you really have to things about where to position your players during set pieces and you can even influence the kick takers run towards the ball. Also when it comes to throw ins you will experience some changes in FIFA17.

  1. Attacking techniques

The game that hits the shelves on September 29th also involves new attacking techniques. EA Sports added some new feint movements en there are new ways to control the ball. Also the player using the controller can decide the intensity with which a duel is battled out and new tackles have been added to the game. Trough using the physical-button you can posture up, making it harder for your opponent to get to the ball.

  1. The Journey

While watching the new FIFA17 trailer one of the things that stood out the most is a new game mode that has been added, called The Journey. With the new mode you can take the game one step further. The trailer follows Alex Hunter but not only in the field, but also having conversations with his parents. In this game mode you are responsible for the career of Hunter.

  1. Frostbite-engine

For the new story in the FIFA-chapter EA Sports used the Frostbite-engine. This should give the game a more realistic look. In the trailer we can see the engine perform very well. For example Anthony Martial has a very realistic look en it’s easy to spot Eden Hazard. Thanks to this new Frostbite-engineEA Sports can now use more footage from for example the dressing rooms.

Besides these four features here at FCInsider we have high hopes of the new FIFA game featuring the Chinese Super League. With big names like Jackson Martinez, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Fredy Guarin, and Ramires already available and undoubtedly more to follow, this would make for a great addition for footy enthusiasts.
